Absolutely! Most of our students start with no dance or gymnastics background—and that’s totally okay.
Our “Intro to Aerial” classes are beginner-friendly. We start simple, like learning to sit in the sling (it feels like a swing!). From there, we teach cool poses and fun moves step by step. No one is pushed to do anything they’re not ready for, and soft mats are always under them.
Aerial takes effort, but it’s fun and rewarding. If your child is curious but nervous, reach out—we’ll help them feel excited to give it a try!
As part of our training, students will share fabrics—one fabric per two students—taking turns to observe and rest between exercises.
Tight-fitting clothes are best. Loose clothes can get caught or cause burns.
For all students:
Wear a leotard or a t-shirt that stays tucked in
Wear leggings or tight-fitting pants
No midriffs, no bare armpits, and no exposed backs of knees
Hair must be tied up and out of the face
Remove rings, watches, long nails, or anything sharp
Bring a non-glass water bottle
Freshen up before class (yes—feet and armpits!)
Leotards are required, especially for inversions—no one wants their shirt over their head!
